The Koutouki of Antonis
Traditional Koutouki - Winery - Tavern - Tavern - Palaia Kokkinia Piraeus
Tucked away in a picturesque alley above Thivon Street, in the heart of Palaia Kokkinia, is "Antoni's Koutouki", a traditional koutouki that has been operating continuously since 1958. Here, time seems to have stood still, as the space is decorated with genuine old objects, transporting visitors to past times. The white embroidered tablecloths and floral tarpaulins on the tables are reminiscent of the hall of an old house, while the small courtyard offers moments of relaxation and nostalgia, ideal for warm summer evenings.
Its cuisine, faithful to the principles of tradition, offers simple but tasty options, with seafood and meat dishes, cooked exclusively in the pan and on the charcoal grill, without the use of a fryer. Fried calamari, garlic gall, pan-fried cod, seasonal greens, charcoal-grilled sardines, atherina and fried anchovies, as well as juicy burgers with freshly cut potatoes are just some of the options you will enjoy.
